Random Thoughts blogSometimes its amazing what the right hat can do for brighten a scene! By the way, I just found and uploaded the hat picture I mentioned earlier too so you can see what I mean!
Something to consider someday if you find the time may be to pick a nice day for a picnic lunch close to the fence there and during this time perhaps some of these sheep may notice and get the idea to cautously approach, giving you a good chance for some great photos of these shy creatures. Staying low to the ground (as would be the case during a picnic lunch) would also give these sheep a lesser sense of threat and seeing the food just might draw them right upto the edge of the fence for a great photo opportunity!
Actually its not so much the fact I was looking to see if they used nails or screws in the barn door hinge but rather the fact that I like exploring photos containing lots of small details as these can tell stories in themselves that go way beyond the scope of first glances. I guess I am somewhat different in this respect as it seems most photographers or photography appreciators on this side of the planet seem to concentrate upon a subject that fills the frame but with little attention being paid to what is in the background or small details in the subject itself and how these relate to the scene the subject is in and even its history too.
As for deck construction and the use of nails instead of screws I believe its more a matter of the cost of labor as screws, though better for staying anchored, also take more time and would drive up the cost of the deck construction considerably.
I love hats, those hat boxes are huge and take up a lot of room in my closet!
Dr. Kamau Kambon told a Katrina panel at Howard University Law School on Oct. 14,2005 that the solution to many of the problems faced by black people is the extermination of “white people off the face of the planet.” Dr. Kambon, who taught African Studies from 2003-2005 at North Carolina State University, also said this needs to be done “because white people want to kill us.” Archive Video on CSPAN and YOU TUBE if you reference his name.
Interesting that on the Free Speech Tunnel it is not OK to be racist but as a NCSU Professor it is OK to be a racist.
